SPCA does not do assessments on dogs and kill young healthy dogs (like Ricky) the three year old sheppard cross, gentle, loved and healthy, that was taken out of the back of a car put in a SPCA van driven to Elk Lake Vet and killed immediately without notifying the owner. The SPCA had emailed the owner three times to tell her to bring him in to safely rehome him when she had advertised on Used Victoria to find him a home as they wanted to find him a home that could walk him more due to the financial circumstances the owner opened a daycare and looked after five one year olds to pay the mortgage and felt Ricky was being ignored. The spca just block the families emails and this will happen again. Ricky had a tattoo in his ear put there by the SPCA no one looked at Ricky he was taken out of the car and killed in less than one hour. The manager that killed him said she was asked by the family to kill him.......lies,lies and coverups. This will happen again because they know they can get away with this by threatening lawsuits,to make it even easier for them to get away with this, no newspaper will publish anything disparaging about the SPCA because they are afraid of lawsuits.Warning do not take a dog to the SPCA to rehome it.You will be sorry!!!!Your dog will be killed and quickly.
