I signed up on this site tonight and hope you all will do the same. Not sure if there’s anything that can be done now except let karma have it’s way but I certainly don’t want to be left out of whatever can be done.

The main thrust of the campaign appears to be aimed at the sponsors and I’m all for that. Walking protests, bumper stickers and social media postings also are encouraged.

It bothers me real bad that Michael Vick is again making millions while paying little more then lip service to speak to the horrors of dog fighting. It’s because of the Michael Vick’s of the world that there is even such an evil thing as BSL (Breed Specific Legislation). Pit Bulls are taking a really bad rap and there’s a single good reason for it if you follow the evidence.

It also bothers me that as days go by, as the NFL season begins and the fans get back to being fans, everyone is going to forget the sins of the criminal and his victims. They’ll forget about rape racks, electrocutions, slamming dogs to the ground until dead and all the other atrocities they were so horrified to hear only a few short months ago. As football fever takes hold, fans will forget. I know it’s true, I’ve seen it in my own home. Sad but true. A few months ago there wasn’t going to be any Eagle’s games on our TV. Last week, there was an Eagle’s game on our TV.

Dog fighters are evil people and need to pay for what they force an otherwise gentle and loving creature to do. Michael Vick needs to pay for his crime and if not by the justice system, then by the consumers of the products that sponsor NFL, him personally and his backers.

Vick debut sparks only handful of protesters

It is as I feared with football fans. Once the opening kick off is made, all thoughts of injustice, cruelty, crime and punishment are out the window. According to this article, there was barely any presence of protesters at Vick’s debut today with more supporters then anti-Vick’s being at the game. And when he stepped onto the field, a rousing ovation?

Oh wonderful. That’s the way to show the dog killer that crime doesn’t pay isn’t it? I just know Vick believes that given enough time, everyone will forget his prior conviction for enabling dog fighting and I believe, he will re-involve himself in dog fighting if given a chance and some sort of reassurance that he won’t be busted again.

So everyone has forgotten the pictures of the Vicktory dogs when they were rescued from Vick’s dog fighting compound. Everyone has forgotten the dead bodies that were dug up within these same compound grounds. We’ve forgotten the rape rack, the electrocutions, the hangings and the beatings for losing a match. The over breeding and the horrible conditions that these dogs were subject to.

Show us some decent football and we’re willing to forget everything we knew to be true just before the game started.

I, for one, am not prepared to forget. In my opinion, he has NOT paid his debt to society as long as dog fighting continues to be prolific in North America. As long as there are dogs still being forced to fight each other to the death, Michael Vick is guilty of the most horrendous of crimes and he does not deserve to be able to make millions a year as his reward.
